Three Rivers Council has been helping youth become “Prepared. For Life.” since 1919.

The Council is comprised of 10 counties (Orange, Jefferson, Chambers, Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Hardin, Tyler, Jasper and Newton).
Three Rivers Council provides a professional field staff, a service center, a Scout Shop and a 900-acer year-round camping facility. Assistance is provided upon request to any youth needing help with program materials, handbooks, uniforms, camping scholarships or registration, regardless of socioeconomic status.

On average we serve 4,000 youth and 1,200 trained volunteers in Southeast Texas. Our youth and volunteers participate in various Scouting activities, meetings, camping, events, advancement, and career-interest programs.

Three Rivers Council Programs

The programs of the Boy Scouts of America serve young people by enabling them to develop healthy habits and make positive choices. Scouting values emphasize a lifelong appreciation of personal fitness, including the prevention of bullying, environmental stewardship & sustainability, and leadership development. Scouting is both fun and empowering; introducing young people to careers and preparing them to be active citizens. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
